Well, its about that time of the year for us folks here in Stumptown to meet, palaver, make merry and um mm oh yeah ..listen to some cool gear.

I was thinking of late august, but we have time enough to accommodate and organize this to fit into as many people's schedules as possible.

So sound off if you are coming (what gear you are bringing) so I can keep roll call and update this post as necessary.

Cheers,
Sachu

Well, I'm relatively new to the Head-Fi community, but a long term audio-phool. I'd be interested in attending if my schedule permits! I'm waiting for my Donald North Audio Sonnett--due next week--which I'd be happy to bring.

Do we have a location?
If this was on a weekend, I'd likely be interested; a 3hr drive from Seattle isn't too bad. I could bring a pair of RS-1, but that's about it.
yes, it will most definately be on a weekend and perhaps you can drag a few coakroaches out of the woodwork to come down with you ..dB
post #6 of 120
Sounds good -- If I'm in town I'll definitely show up with some gear, including the Woo 6SE.

we have two sites identified..

One is the Riverplace Athletic Club (RAC) where we have always met before and has worked out quite well for us thanks to our meet sponsor Andrew H from Maximo Products and Ken from ALO this February.

Alternatively dBel84 has sugested that we could meet at the old library in OHSU.
I will let Don(dBel84) fill us in on the details of what's available at OHSU.

How does Aug 22nd or Aug 29th sound to everyone?
Which ever works out better for the majority we will go with that.

There was a gentleman at the Feb meet who generously offered up his space (a recording studio, no less). Of course I am not well enough organized to have his contact info on hand, but maybe anyone else remembers this?
Yes, i remember chatting to him. I don't have his details though. Meeting in a recording studio would be fantastic ..dB

I have been waiting for a Portland meet...Either of the dates would probably work for me.

Unfortunately all I can contribute is a pair of ATH-M50s

Not to worry..There will be plenty of gear to listen to and more importantly meeting up with some really nice folks.
I've been waiting for this..

I vote the 29th. The weekend of the 22nd is the Oregon Star Party and I will be there.

I'm planning on bringing some of my working DIY amps to this meet.

Please Please I vote for the 29th.
I can make it the 22nd, but not the 29th. Tevian, it looks like I won't get to hear your amps whichever date is chosen. That's a pity.

I can't recall offhand who had the recording studio. I'll check to see if I have any info written down from the last meet though.
29th is not good, and also not available at the RAC. The 22nd is available there, as is anything in Sept.

How about Sept 5th?

Right..how about sept the 5th..if everyone is available then it would be ideal.
