Skullcandy is funny. - Page 4

^^ don't even know what all that means
Why do we keep resurrecting Skullcandy threads - why can't those totally NON-audiophile, teeny boppers just get their own dedicated Skullcandy site where they can rant to their hearts content about how cool they are.

It should at least be a neodymium or even a ferrite magnet.

NdFeB? really skullcandy are you kidding.
Are you kidding? NdFeB is the alloy "neodymium" magnets are made out of. You are not just very ignorant and lashing at at what you consider a soft target (Skullcandy), you are also extremely lazy. even a short google or reading wikipedia would have set you straight. A seconds consideration as to what chemical elements might be represented by "Nd" or "Fe" would have saved you from the intellectual harakiri of saying "at least be neodymium or even ferrite".

I nominate this post for a daytime emmy

No. You are wrong.

Unless this thread begins a turn to a more productive discussion than the current theme of aren't we cool because we know Skullcandys aren't the best in the universe allows, I see no reason to keep it open.

And what's with the hipsters thing? Last I knew, hipsters were long gone by the time the 1950s announced them. What's old is new again? Hmmm.

Something that is too often not the case with even supposedly "high end" cans.

People laughing about maximum input power of 200mW should go see what Beyerdynamics lists for its phones. They should also calculate what the sesitivity level would need to be for them to listen to 200mW for any length of tme and retain hearing.

Why are people defending skullcandy again? I think they made their way to the wrong forum.

That.

well, they might actually be decent with impedance adapters, and the cans look big enough to open up and do some serious modding to. the adjuster knobs might be useful to tune down the usual SC bass.

I dunno, I'll definitely wait for reviews. could be interesting.

I actually really hope they become a fad.
then we'll all be able to wear our huge cans outside without being made fun of.

I love how they are designed to look like monitors. When was the last time you found monitors with 18 ohm impedance and dual drivers.

If people like the way they produce sound, so be it. If they wanna try something that sounds better, that is good too. Stop being idiots and grow up.

I was just surprised that skullcandy (out of any brand) were making THESE headphones. They usually make portable iPod style headphones.

That is all. Stop your ranting. We all hate it.
No. Everyone on this entire site hates skull candy and knows they suck and most are getting sick of threads about them. Seriously why can't we stop talking about this crap?

Haha, I can also see the SC users making fun of my senn's. "I have more drivers in my SC's than his Senn's so mine must be better. The more the better!"

There's nothing wrong with enjoying certain sound signatures, but at the same time, there are products that offer superior performance in every area in the same or lower price range as Skull Candy, Bose or Monster, which leads responsible Head-Fi members to try to deter folks from buying over priced low-fi performing headphones and instead something that gives them an excellent budget buy.

If you come to a forum that was made to specifically discuss hi-fi headphones, then you can only expect that such things would take place. Before you judge other people for their mockery of lesser products posing as high-end products, please read into what this forum was created for.
