Yeah we pretty much hate them. I'm just tired of hearing about how much we hate them.

Really? Maximum input at 200mW? My YUIN PK1 can do 1000mV. Even the cheapest YUIN (PK3) can do 400.

I was just surprised that skullcandy (out of any brand) were making THESE headphones. They usually make portable iPod style headphones.

That is all. Stop your ranting. We all hate it.
We know we can get more for our money.

In any case, dual driver stuff was abandoned in the 70s/80s last I checked, and those didn't fare too well. Also, with such a low input rating with an extra set of drivers, I have a bad feeling that wont end well at all.

In any case, maybe all the hipsters will think these are cool and go out and get those old 70s epic huge quadraphonic (? methinks that might be the name) and walk around with them. Make my alessandros look good.

AKG made dual driver headphones fairly recently, like the K270.

I wonder if ourfpshero walks around with his massive headphones.

Wait I'm confused about the units and what these numbers mean... maximum input power (watts) versus voltage?

Are they really marketing to the hipster crowd now? I had always thought that their focus was on the skate/snow culture..

if they want to appeal to hipsters they need to make em a bit more fashionable. lol since im a lil hipster myself.

I think it's still the same market, ie. taking money from teenagers, just inflation-adjusted price ^^ just kidding. I want to see Skullcandy make a $1500-3000 statement headphone though, it's always fun to see what happens when people throw money at something.

One of the knobs on the cup is a tone control. I'm wondering what the other one is but I bet the Skullcandy fanboyz will think it's cool to have knobs on their cups.

B&H's information on these says both cups have volume and tone controls. I don't see this as a bad thing, as it will let you tune it so the headphones are balanced to match ones ears, or that at least the drivers give equal performance. Something that is too often not the case with even supposedly "high end" cans.

People laughing about maximum input power of 200mW should go see what Beyerdynamics lists for its phones. They should also calculate what the sesitivity level would need to be for them to listen to 200mW for any length of tme and retain hearing.

Also, what other headphones have you listened to, other than your SCs?
Etymotics, Grado, Sennheiser, Shure, Koss.

A lot. I mostly borrowed/rented the expensive ones.

Is this just me, or 90mm speakers are a bit much?

It should at least be a neodymium or even a ferrite magnet.

NdFeB? really skullcandy are you kidding.
