Seriously I think there should be a sticky that says no posts about Bose, SC, and Monster. It's annoying.
This. We know they suck. We know how much head-fi loves to get a hard on over beating the skeleton of the dead horse that is (collectively) SC and Bose. We should sticky a note at the top that explains why they're not a great idea, and leave it at that.

I don't think people hate SC and etc.(I don't; I'm a SC fan. Ink'd, Lowrider, Skullcrushers). People think that you can more for your money.

I was just surprised that skullcandy (out of any brand) were making THESE headphones. They usually make portable iPod style headphones.

That is all. Stop your ranting. We all hate it.

I know! They're dual drivers (I think). I don't think this will make them the next Sennheiser, but whatever.

They'll try.

Dear iHelp,

you remind me of a saying a wise man once told me: If you have to try to be cool, you aren't.

So stop trying.

"Item Weight: 2.6 pounds"

Wow, those things are gonna weigh a ton! I have to admit, I like the looks though.

Hey, these look cool, actually. Love the old-school, industrial thing going. Very WWII.

I hope they color it the same way they color their other headphones. Plain black makes it look like something you can punch for fun.

It's not about having thousands...I don't have anything near thousands to spend on audio equipment (I think all my current equipment comes to less than $1000...certainly less than $1500). It's about taste...people generally don't "trash" good entry-level 'phones like the sr60. Skullcandies don't get trashed because they're cheap; they get trashed because they're expensive and sound cheap.

+1 If they are happy with whatever they bought and the price they paid for it, nothing to get upset about. I mean it is our duty as educated people in the audio area to let them know, but any bickering beyond that is just unnecessary.

That's just the shipping weight, including box, carrying case (if any) and so on. The HD800s are listed as eight pounds in comparison.

On another note, some people like their headphones to have some big booties! Darths and other large cupped woody mods!

On a note on top of that one... Skullcandy.

No, I'm pretty sure people do actually hate Skullcandy and Bose. Stick around, and you'll see.

Also, what other headphones have you listened to, other than your SCs?

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.

After reading that A/V review for the HD-800's, where it listed them as 350 grams, I guess I was still in the same mindset.

They remind me of the DX1000. I'm curious as to what they sound like.
