So, how far away are we from seeing 64g CF cards that are reasonably priced? - Page 2

Holy cow! I wonder if that has any chance in working in my CF converted iMod. Would offer a bit more flexibility if the size of microSDHCs continue to grow.

Amazon.com: Genuine SanDisk 16GB microSDHC / Transflash Card (Retail Package): Electronics

you can probobly get it to 25MB/sec with 4 class 6 MicroSD cards,

well, that is, if money is no object, only the cards would be 190 bucks,

Rockbox can and does resample. Poorly. At least it does for word length for sure.

Several DAPs have 24/96 hardware and many of the codecs in rockbox output with 32-bit precision but the pcm engine in rockbox uses DMA which on most architectures limits word length to 16 bits.

If someone wanted to expand the functionality of rockbox to handle longer words, you could use them, but nobody has done this.

Well, I was able to upgrade my Korg to an 80g Hdd (74.5g capacity after the Korg formatted the drive) so there is no great rush for me to go the CF route for now. SSD looks pretty interesting also & if is compatible w/ these players it looks like it might be an even easier conversion than CF. Oh well, thanks anyway!
