IMHO the one thing that Bose did right other than the original wave (all be it, antiquated) is thier Desktop systems

Funny... Godwill and Salvation Army have become multi-BILLION dollar companies and they are in some of the best neighbourhoods out here.
Kinda sad that they reported record profits (Even though they are supposed to be Non-Profit) but still felt it was necessary to raise thier prices recently. ( I buy all my CD's and a few records from there)

I can get a speaker amp, but the one I can get sucks. Not sure of the model. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

If you have nothing - its a steal - if you have 5 turds placed in your room - its probably a downgrade. If I had nothing but a $200 used HT receiver and no speakers - id buy it in a heart beat.
