BEYERDYNAMIC DTX 900/Denon AH-1001/Grado SR60i/AKG S K141 which one to buy?

My friend recently bought a pair of sennheisers and i was absolutely impressed by the amazing quality, so much in fact that i have decided to buy some for my own.

These are the 4 headphones which i found to be good in terms of price and quality ; BEYERDYNAMIC DTX 900 / Denon AH-1001 / Grado SR60i / AKG S K141.

They would be in use mostly for music and gaming.

To all you experts out there which one would you recommend or if you have any other suggestions please tell me.

You can't go wrong with the Audio Technica A (or AD, but I don't have any experience with them) series for music and gaming.

What is your budget for buying headphones?

What sound card or other equipment will you be plugging into?

What types of music do you listen to?

Do you want headphones to be better at positional audio or impactful explosions?

Do you want the headphones mostly for music or gaming?

hey,

My budjet is around 80-150 dollar

I have an Asus Realtek HD Sound Effect Manager

I listen to rock/pop

Probably positional audio

mostly for music but i still want a good gaming expierence

My $0.02 worth, I believe the Denon AH-D1001 is the best of the models that you have mentioned-they are wonderful for any type of music and I don't see where they would not serve you well for gaming. My wife has a vintage Grado SR-60 and they are great for portable music but I don't think they would be that good for gaming-they have a very constricted soundstage. Unfortunately I can not recommend the Beyer DTX-900, they are they worst price vs. performance headphones that I own. No way of saying on the AKG's since I've never heard them. And in your post did you actually buy some Sennheiser's or not I was a little confused? Happy Listening.

I've got the HD555's and they are amazing. They're only $100 on amazon, and if you're into gaming, you should get a small clip on microphone to go with it.
