VNV Nation - Of Faith, Power and Glory - Page 2

Off topic as usual, but Helen Mira has a court date?
Heh, no it was stupid joke about me stalking her. Which apparently I wouldn't do very well anyway since I can't even get her last name right.

No worries - I think you'd be in a whole crowd of people following her.
Did I hear that they have a new album in the works?
Did you! Don't tease me. That would be a quick turnaround for them, yet I sense Velocifero wasn't the commercial success they were looking for.

Spill please.

Since this has turned into a Ladytron thread (no complaints from the OP ), I must say I really enjoyed Velocifero. So spill on the new album!

I'm afraid I haven't anything to spill. I was thinking I'd read that they were working on a new album with a fairly short suspense release date. I work too much and am frequently groggy, so I don't trust everything I think unless I can remember where I read it, which, in this case, I can't.

As far as sales on Velocifero, they should have gone well -- I have bought three copies (Amazon download, hard copy for better bit-rate, gift). They don't normally sell like ganagbusters, though, do they?

Moo -- since you mention that this is technically a VNV thread, umm... yeah, I got nothing. I find VNV is prone to a somewhat textureless sound that always drives me back to Covenant. Which one album would you recommend that counters that impression? (or two)

I don't know- I actually do like their newer, more pop-sensibility-freindly songs as much as their older, more angry ones. The thing I like most about them is they tend to put a wide variety of stuff on most of their albums. Matter + Form is then the album I'd suggest for the best of their newer stuff- you get both Chrome and Perpetual for their newer sound, Endless Skies for a very nice, slow, introspective track, Strata and Entropy for their more industrial-ish stuff.
