That's great, man. Can't wait to read what you think about them.

Lol. Or in plainer English, "EQ or GTFO!"

I wholeheartedly approve.

|joker|, you are great. Thank you for all your reviews. I've had the HD238 last year and I remember them to be exactly like you described. Got rid of them due to needing closed cans and recently bough the PX200-II. One quick question: did the bass on these ever seem a bit too light? I've had them for two days and can't decide if the bass is just quick and controlled or lacking. Not a basshead.

When I had talked about my likes of the Beyer DT235 over my HD238, I had totally forgotten about the aweful plug.  lol.  I was reading your review last night, and I was thinking how much I could not stand that plug.  Good call there.

Looking forward to your next 2 reviews.  Will that round out the week?

Nice job with the addition of the HD238!  I'm still burning mine in, so don't have conclusive opinions yet, but for the most part I agreed with your take on 'em.

BTW - when your multi-IEM review thread turns one year old, how are you going to top your 7-day-7-review bonanza?  Going to do a 30-day-30-review extravaganza?

p.s. "portraying intimacy is definitely not one of their strong suites." ---> assume this should be suits

Thanks for updating the review to include the hd 238!
I knew you had that specific headphone for quite a while, but never made a review about it, until now.

The bass is quick and controlled . The PX200-II have what is probably the tightest bass of all the <$100 portables I've tried.

The plug is dreadful. No idea what possessed them to use it on a portable headphone.

Two more reviews will be it for the week unless I have time to write up a bonus for the anniversary day (tomorrow). Still working on today's review so I don't know. Got yesterday's up in the nick of time (12am on the dot ).

Haha, actually the multi-IEM thread is more complicated than that since it's currently on version 2. The long-buried version 1 was started in October of last year but the current one was started in March. 30-day 30-review would probably wear me out. The 7 day/7 review is time-consuming enough . Maybe I'll find the one IEM to beat all IEMs .

Oh and thanks for the correction. Totally missed that last night and probably wouldn't have noticed it afterwards.

Thanks for the HD238 review.

I was so tempted of buying them because of the $25 rebate last month (http://www.sennheiserusa.com/launch/0510_CE_JuneHOTMRebate.pdf).

Now I don't feel so bad about not have gotten them.  I didn't even notice that huge plug at the time.

I do recall it having pretty bad isolation - I could hear the baby crying a few isles away while demoing them at Best Buy.

typo? under the isolation section, I think you wrote 238 in one spot where you meant to write 228.
