Wow. That's an awfully low budget you got there. Push it to $40 and the Prodipe Pro800's no question.

Pretty difficult to do anything with that budget. You used to be able to find the JVC HA-S700 or the odd colors of the Panasonic RP-HTX7 for that much but they're closer to $35-40 now.

Maybe review the Sony MDR-V150. I know they aren't good at all, but just show what place they are in I guess...

I'd love to see you do T50, P5, ES10, ESW10, or some of them, in this classic roundup

One of the ones mentioned is actually going to be reviewed soon.

I was gonna say the Maxell DHP II are close but went check the price at amazon ... 79$!!

I have heard the Senn HD202 are pretty decent, but never tried them, might want to read about them, perhaps.

Out of curiosity, why does it have to be circumaural? why not on-ear?

Nice deduction

If I could possibly make a request, please review the Superlux HD-668 B. These things are a little hidden gem

It is! but this is a portable shootout, and the superlux isnt.

Superlux 668b comes with detachable 1 meter and 3 meter cables. that qualifies it for number 3

Neither... the JVC is more comfortable, more portable, and more isolating. The Panasonics are more fun to listen to and built better.
