Ha, you've got to stop going through my shopping cart. I've been wanting to try those for a while now but the price doesn't fluctuate much unfortunately.

Lol. I don't know how to make my cart public but here's what's in there that's headphone (non-IEM) related. I basically just use it to keep track of prices as I'd go broke if I bought most of these.

Today on Black Friday I resisted the temptation to buy a new blu-ray player for my bedroom. It supported Netflix, MKV, had USB hard drive support, Ethernet Port and was only $94. Could have gotten a Magnavox with "Vudu"(?) support for $64, but no thanks. I headed to the checkout and decided against it at the last minute. If I could find a blu-ray player with Netflix support and Wi-Fi out of the box for under $100 I'd be set.

I went to Best Buy next and nothing in the store jumped out at me and said "MUST BUY NOW" until I went to the headphone section. They had the Shure SRH-440 there, but not on sale. I ended up buying a pair. It doesn't help that I just bought the AKG k420 and the AKG k430.

AKG k420 isn't as bad as I originally thought. I had to burn them in, but to me they're unlistenable without an EQ. I hate using an EQ, but I have to use the "Bass Reducer" setting! The highs are quite fatiguing too. Despite all this it has pretty good mids. Definitely not bad for those wanting a VERY tiny headphone that can be folded up. Comfort is just "OK", but I wear glasses.

Ah, Head-Fi logic. It will be the end of us all.

I have a K430 on the way as well wink.gif

Years ago I had some AKG portables (I forget the model #) and those things were remarkable tiny bass cannons. I've been curious about their newer line, but I haven't seen any of them available up in Canada (though I haven't been looking very hard).
