The D2000 is definitely a full-size can in my book so I decided not to review it. I thought it would be the same size as a the D1100 but it's a good 25% larger. From a fidelity standpoint is is easily superior to the D1100.

 

How would you say they compare to the M50s in overall SQ? Much more refined with wider soundstage I imagine?
 

As far as a I know, Fischer's official distributors are few and far between, though I know that Musica Acoustics are official north american distributors for Fischer, but I think most people buy from their website or by contacting dimitri. Anyone know anything about Canada?

Thanks a lot for the comparison, especially regarding your comments comparing the CAL and D1100 (I was hoping it didn't have that cavernous effect also)! Glad to know it has more of a balanced and warmish sound. Definitely sounds like what I'm looking for in a full-size. :)

Could someone pls point out some differences between the Denon AH-D1100 and AH-D510? I know AH-D510 is of a lower-end but anyway, I just want some real information from experienced users. Thanks!

Is the sq in the hd25/m80's worth the taking over the CAL considering I really want a fullsize?

I own both the CAL! and the HD25, and for me, even if the HD25 is better for Rock and Metal, the CAL! is very good as an all rounder, it's more confortable and a lot cheaper. I haven't heard the M80's yet, so I can't coment on those...

I have all three (D1000 shares the same drivers as a CAL!). If you need very good isolation and are using a headphone for portable use, the HD25 is useful in those scenarios. My only gripe with them is the narrow soundstage.

The M-80 has overall better SQ than the CAL! and I personally love their portability while also have a nice deep soundstage for an on-ear. They have decent isolation also so that makes them more versatile.

The CAL! is great if you're on a budget and don't need isolation. I find them better sounding and more balanced than the M50s also.

I'd rule out the "CAL!" on the exclamation point alone. 

Have you ever heard of the superlux HD668B? cause I'm looking for a cheap pair of cans under $50 to use for travelling to school, and both the Superlux HD668B and Prodipe Pro 800. But sadly i don't see the superlux HD668B review here so what would you recommend? Would the prodipe pro 800 be good for casual travelling?
