Anyone have recent experience with how long it takes to receive this graph?  I registered my HD800 two weeks ago and still haven't received any email (not even a "hey we received your registration").  I used the US site for registration and didn't see any check box for frequency graph so I assumed that simply the act of registering would net me a certificate.  Is that not the case?

Try filing a support ticket, that's what I did. Took me a week.

Follow this link,  fill out appropriate info, click continue, fill out more info then scroll down and tick the box requesting a frequency graph.  Takes approx. 3 - 5 days by email to receive   http://en-de.sennheiser.com/service-support-services-register-your-product

The frequency response graphs are very different looking compared to the graphs from other websites. On top of that, their graphs cut off a bit prematurely.

For example the Sennheiser graphs all show a boosted bass but that's far from the case.

The graphs show deviations from the Sennheiser HD800 reference. Not a raw frequency response chart.

I also recieved my response chart today

My frequency response chart showed up in my inbox this morning also.

From what I've read so far on this thread it seems as if the early HD800 series had a pronounced sibilance problem.  I know from experience; I purchased a pair 4 years ago or so & the sibilance drove me crazy after a while.  I tried listening to them with different headphone amps ie. Lyr, Asgard, HA160D, integrated stereo amp : Cambridge 700A, etc. & the result was pretty much the same.  Also tried different types of music, recordings, productions, etc.  Even replaced the stock cable with a Cardas one. In the end I gave up & sold them.

So now based on what I've read in this thread I decide to purchase another pair of HD800 from a fellow Head-fier; they are 2 months old & the SN is 28xxx.  I also now have different amplifiers : Trafomatic Experience Head One tube amp, an excellent Kenwood KA-8006, vintage integrated amp. (1974), 70wpc w/plenty of drive and sound adjustments and I also now have a much better CD player.  So I'm hoping for the best.  I'll check out the box & send for the CfFR.  Once I get it I'll post it & also give my impressions as to wether or not the SN28xxx sounds different than what I remember from the first pair I owned.

I should get the HPs sometimes during the May 26- week.
