Decpitated's "Winds of Creation", and Lady Gaga's "The Fame" are both sounding great on mine. Britney Spears' stuff is also jaw droopingly good on them.

You know i have to say Lady Gaga's stuff isn't that bad. Britney Spears i really don't listen to so i wouldn't know.

Yeah, Spears' stuff is hit or miss. There's usually a few killer songs on an album, while the rest will be complete trash.

I got the two Norah Jones cd's and improted them in AIFF they sound really good. I am also listening to Ozzy Osbournes newest album Black Rain. It sounds pretty good too.

Wow! Balsom's tone sounds phenomenal, especially when cranking my MiniMax a bit above my normal volume.

Most ambient IMO (Biosphere, Bass Communion, Thomas Koner, Namlook, Bill Laswell, Stars of The Lid for instance).

Certain kinds of Jazz likewise, Jan Gabarek for instance. Pop rock, such as Talk Talks Spirit of Eden does great I think. Detroit stuff like Drexciya also shines in all its raw harshness with the K701.

Yo!!

I found that the Soul Reaver 1 and 2 soundtracks sound awesome through these phones.

I know this thread has been dead for a whole year, but I'll post just incase anyone checks it later. Has anyone tried listening to R.E.M or the Who on their K70X's. I know I should probably be looking more into Grados for the type of music i listen to but im drawn to the K702s like a moth to a very expensive, and hard to drive flame beyersmile.png

Well, in terms of rock, The Who and R.E.M. aren't as aggressive-sounding and benefit more from a large soundstage, so that makes perfect sense.
