The cable of my custom 3 bursted after several hours of indoors use. I don't have a camera and can't show pictures but this problem is common and many photos can be found even here at head-fi. Mine tore by the flexible part that goes behind the ear on both left and right sides. It's like the cable wants to escape from it's cloth weaving.
I hope that this issue stays only cosmetical and doesn't cause any malfinction.
