Muffled like I'm not getting the full sound. Its like there's a sheet over the IEMs or something.
I think its the fit to be honest - they just don't get deep enough into my ear. They sound pretty good when I push them a little deeper. Unfortunately, I can't get it to stay there with any of the tips that come with it. Any advice?

I had the same frustration with my PL50, as compared to my ER6i. There just seemed to be something missing. More snap and shine to the etys.
I think it does come down to fitment. I installed some loosened up ety tri-flanges on my PL50 and no longer have any complaints.
Our field engineers have left a pair of noisy rack mount servers in the next cube because there wasn't time to make room for them in the server room and they need them up during a critical deployment at a customer site.
The noise is getting to me and I've gotten tired of wearing sweaty closed cans so yesterday i got out my ER6i and used those.
The tri-flanges on them had gotten loose - kept pulling off the stem when i pulled them out of my ears, even after cleaning everything with alcohol, so, I dug out the spare set.
Comparing the set I've been wearing for 2 years with the set that just came out of the baggie, the opening on the back of the old set was visibly bigger.
A couple hours later i wondered if they'd fit the soundmagic PL50, and they do. And they don't pull off the pl50 stem when i take them out of my ears.
(Yes, I've been walking around with a pair of DT250-80, a pair of ER6i, and a pair of PL50 in my laptop bag. And another pair of ER6i that are broken. I left the IM716 at home, though, give me _some_ credit!)
I don't know what it would take to put brand new ety tri-flanges on the PL50 - might not work at all. Might go on but never come off without possibly damaging the stem.
But if you have an old set of ety flanges, give it a try.
