Hi guys and girls,
As some of you may have noticed I began my summer holidays (4 weeks off) a week ago.
I thought a road trip would be a nice start. So on Monday I packed up my VFR800 and left for my longest single trip so far. The route went north west towards our spectacular fjords (mountains high and fjords deep). I arrived back home this afternoon, after putting down more than 1,600km / 1,000 miles.
The weather have been really warm and beautiful, topping 30°C in the shadow. Small rain shower for 1 hour or so, besides that dry roads.
Simply had a blast!
The western parts of Norway certainly have a lot of beautiful scenery. From tight narrow fjords at sea level, to mountain road up to 1,500 meters.
Lots of new places I have never seen before, but to which I certainly will come back...
Route:
Asker (home) -> Kongsberg -> Numedal -> Geilo -> Hol -> Aurland -> Lærdal -> Sogndal -> Stryn -> Geiranger -> Trollstigen -> Åndalsnes -> Eidsvåg -> Sunndalsøra -> Oppdal -> Tynset -> Drevsjø -> Trysil -> Elverum -> Asker (home)
