Hi all.
sorry if this question has been answerd before,I used search but cant find any answer.

after putting on some more music on the SD card, every file name is Unkown.

I reset the D2, I tried starting it whitout the SD card in.
I downgraded to firmware 2.57 (from 3.57)
tried everthing I can think of, but filename is still Unknown

Can anybody eplain what I should do in a simple way?
Me and electronics dont seem to bee friends

thanx beforehand

Problem solved, after a trillion restarts and reseting to factorymode a bunch of times the files show up as they should

Is the filename unknown or the database entry for artist, title, etc. is unknown?

I'm thinking you mean the database entry says Unknown.

Try putting a maximum of 2gb at a time on your Cowon because sometimes its database gets corrupted if there is more then 2gb of data on there per database update.

So empty everything, turn on ipod and let it update database (to nothing). Load 2gb or less of music on it, unplug from computer, turn D2 on, let database update, verify that there is no "unknown" on there, plug it in and load 2 more gigabytes, continue.

Thanx..
Well I geuss I mean the database :P
When I se the files on the computer everything is as it should be,but on the D2 it says unknown.

I´m emptying everything of both the D2 and the SD card now.
I´ll follow your instructions when its done and hope for the best

Thanx again

Still Unknown

did I break it?

it plays the music as good as ever, but still no names.
when I turn it on it shows the trackname of the song it was on last, but going in to the menu makes everything turn "unknown"
