maximum heat temperature for cables

HI
I don't know if this has been asked before, but like the title says, what is the normal temperature for cables/interconnects.
the reason i am asking is that my gear is located next to my computer, so it happens that warm air is blown on my interconnect cables. I know it is probably nothing,but i am still a little paranoid. should i worry?

Nothing to worry about.

A computer fan won't heat the cable enough to do any damage or loss of sound quality. The heat generated from a tube amp for example would be a lot more and that is what they are designed to work with.

The heat won't really matter, but I'm guessing the hot air is blown from the computer's power supply.
If it were me, I'd keep interconnects at least a inch away from it, and physically detached from anything that vibrates (your computer case).

thanks...they are a lot more than an inch, more like 25-30 cm. it is also a very hot day here in israel, so i guess all my gear is especially hot..also my amp. usually it is a little warm to the touch, but right now it is almost untouchable. I hope it will be ok because i really don't feel like stopping the music right now.

As long as your cables dont feel noticably warmer you have nothing to worry about. These cables are made to work with audio equipment so there should be no issue at all.

Not sure how its for audio cables, but from my work i know a standard electrical cable is normaly made for a max around 80 degrees centigrade.
