Although the tube section doesn't seem to "work", it looks quite neat

Gah! Curses, I just logged on to post this, cool device

haha I was just about to post this too!

Do you think it'd be worth getting? I'm pretty sure my computer (Fujitsu T4220) has just an integrated sound system, rather than an independent card. Would the sound be any better than my regular headphone jack?

Cool, but clunky looking.

There was a real tube linestage device that fit in a drive bay on a PC tower that would add tube sound to your PC sound system. Of course it did have the lit tube front and center with a window to see it in the front.

Have no idea on sound quality (probably standard usb audio). More info here: Welcome to Usb.brando.com.hk

its gotta be dirty ... i have a love/hate relationship with my own computer audio system but I live by the maxim separate and isolate -- and this thing seems to defy all that logic

well easy! look at me :

well, it's not really me, though

anyway, the true power remains 70's roots/dub reggae...current stuff is too digital to my taste. and mad prof likes to pitchshift everything on a constant basis, rather annoying. all you need is a Roland Space Echo, a mutron phaser , some crappy mixer...some food for thoughts, and bam! that's it : DUB DISCUSSION BOARD :: View topic - Mutron Phaser used by Lee Perry

If you want to see Scratch working this stuff at Black Ark get the video "Roots Rock Reggae" from
Shanachie. And the book "People Funny Boy" by David Katz is a must also.
I have both, and he sure is having a blast w/ the mutron in that video!

you'll learn that Bob Marley ended up kicking Lee's ass many times coz he wouldn't pay him for his work..this book is great.

Lee Perry was a merciless studio owner, always trying to avoid paying ppl.

anyway, we're threadcrapping I think

open a reggae thread if you like

I will definitely buy that book. Big contrast between Lee Perry and Mad Professor personalities hehe. Mad professor is such a humble soft dude. Lee Perry is Lee Perry
Thanks for the tips buddy!
