It is unquestionably the best headphone under $100 by any manufacturer, period.
The minimum price required to best it even by a narrow margin is $260 (for the AD900.)
Plenty of phones over $300 (or even over $500 for that matter) do not perform as well.
In short, the AD700 is simply the best deal in headphones, as well as a truly high-end performer that can hold its own in the company of the best phones at any price.
In stark contrast to those who have made the ridiculous claim that it is merely "average", the AD700 is an outsanding phone regardless of price, and almost unbelievable for the little it costs.
