NOTE: The clamping factor will obviously differ from person to person, but I'm surprised to find little mention of it, as it is the sole reason I'd never think twice about...
When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

Anyway, I don't think the RE-2 and amp would be worse than my current iM716. I just worry that the RE-2 would be weak compared to the UHP336 when both are properly amped. Of course, the UHP336 may well get very little out of amping -- since they're pretty much rebadged Superfi.3s, anyone have an idea of how that might work out for them?
The T4 is $109 USD + shipping (from China) brand new, can probably get it for around $60-$80 used. You could also consider a Xin amp is you want something small, but their smallest (and most inexpensive) amp is $170 new, and I seem to recall reading probably somewhere in this thread, that the T4 is better sounding, but I could be wrong about that.
Er, what the heck? Who cares about looks? I used to loop iM716s over my ears for Christ's sake. You can't possibly look any more silly than with that setup!
