Never really like Shure's grey flex. I like olive much better though, but it will be a very tight fit over PL-50 so I didn't put them on. Also confirmed: big bi-flange, Comply T100 and Sony Hybrid, Etymotic tri-flanges will all fit.

Anyway, I get a good fit with the stock single flange so I am good. Stock mid foam is just a bit too small.

RE-2 has good detail and soundstage, NE-7M is more bass oriented. But for an overall package, I prefer PL-50 over both. They are ranked fair close though, so it depends on what kind of sound signature you are looking.

Any chance these can compete with the $100 heavyweights in terms of detail and balance - the RE0, Er6i, etc.?

Beside the fact that RE0 shouldn't be in the $100 level (but it does!), I think I personal prefer PL-50 to most of my sub$100 IEM at the moment.
