Yesterday, UCLA financial aid offices told me that my check for summer school won't be coming in for a few weeks so now I have to use this to help pay the rent and eat instead of using it to help fund an HF2 purchase. The setup includes a normal bias Lambda, Srd-7/SB, and Sonic Impact 2nd Gen T-amp that I bought from plaidplatypus. The Lambda was recabled by germania when she had it. The entire system is in good condition with no sonic deficiencies. Being as old as it is though, the Lambda does have two cosmetic defects though. The first one is that one of the pads as a small puncture in it and the second one being that the the cable sleeve on the right side got disconnected from the plastic protector. I handled the second one by using good ole masking tape so that it's not annoying and at any rate it doesn't affect the sound quality of the headphones.
Guys, this is an extremely good deal for this price even with the minor cosmetic issues. I think that the Lambdas are much better than the mid high end cans like the HD600, K701, K500, RS-1, etc. The Lambdas are probably the best bang for buck headphone around and can easily compete in some areas such as clarity and speed with even the best of the best. If you're wondering why I'm selling them instead of the K500, it's because I plan to buy an HD800 setup after a few months of work. If you ever considered a Stax setup, this would be a great and relatively inexpensive way to way to get started.
final price drop. The Lambda + SRD-7/SB for $300 shipped. The Lambda + SRD-7/SB + T-Amp for $330 shipped. CONUS. If you're outside of CONUS, it'll be more expensive due to shipping, but contact me to figure out how much more expensive.
