I did it as well when i got the DVD, it's quite good quality, even if it's not lossless LPCM but standard ac3...stellar quality for a live album surely.

I've been listening to the downmix of the 5.1 Ghost Reveries, and I have to say, I think the Still Life one is a tonne better.

I have Lamentations on CD from a collector set which was Damnation, Deliverance, BlackWater Park, and Lamentations (2 discs). I don't think Lamentations was released alone on CD.

I x2 the praise for the Lamenation DVD, but it does not really get your head right for classic Opeth as it's a Opeth/Wilson collaboration.

I'd love for Wilson and Opeth to collaborate again. A shame it probably won't happen anytime soon as Wilson is busy touring for The Incident...

I'd like for Wilson to time travel to 1997, meet himself and colaborate with that person.

Ya, it is a great live recording. I have only ripped to Mp3 so far. One of the best sounding live recordings in my I-pod. I will rip it to CD soon as I am sure the sound will be fantastic. There seems to be very little compression on the recording. Every instrument can be heard in detail.

ok why does everyone hate ghost reveries? i found that album at least the first 5 tracks to be amazing.

Simply dont have enough knowledge or experience to pick a top 5 but the album that hooked me was: Orchid.

Ive heard most of their albums a few times but not with enough focus.
