I currently have a magni amp for my DT 880/250. It does sound ok but I really want a warmer sound to my DT880 and probably more bass impact. What do you guys suggest me to do? Will getting a DAC helps or I should just get another amp?(maybe tube amp?) My budget is around $300.

Thanks!

I often use a La Figaro 336C vacuum tube OTL amp with my DT880/600 'phones.
It's about $300.00.
I find this warms up the sound, depending on what I'm listening to, I find the DTs a bit too dry with my SS amps.
Not too sure if a tube amp will give you more bass impact.
I find the SS amps give me more bass punch, tighter bass.
OTOH, looser bass may be perceived as having more bass impact.

I used the 336C for a few months with stock tubes.
After that, I tried rolling in a few NOS tubes......that can be one way to dial in the sound you want.

The 336C is no more in production . Don't know if it's the same for the original DV 336SE .

In that case I will not call my lawyers on Monday morning.
I probably should anyway, I pay them a $10,000 per month retainer.
They mostly use it to buy high end pencil sharpeners, $50.00 socks and expensive lunches.

Thank you Jebus...
I was just looking up the number for Legal Aid... (Hope it's not the guy from the Double Wide.)

I could use $50 socks...

This is starting to get like the X3 thread where they are giving their players "Names"... eek.gif

Have you tried the Crown Royal Black yet? If not you should, it is very yummy indeed. Just noticed the Tubular Bells playing on your DAP, very nice as well.

Thanks!

I've looked at it and pondered it, I will have to give it a taste!

Tubular Bells is a classic album, just like Oxygene.
