Still they have this combo offer for many other sennheiser headphones including hd650 and hd700. So it's worth to take a look.

wallet destroying advice.

i am more interested in hd700. its also gone down to 42k and offer still there.

am contemplating if its worth going for it directly or should I first invest in wallet friendly akg k550 or hifiman he400 (like 15-20k or so).

currently have a hd518.

It really depends on what you are looking for. I went straight to HD800 because of the offer while skipping 600 or 650 but i still have them in my wishlist. Also you should keep in mind about customs duty when you go for products not available in India, unless someone can get them for you.

cool. which ones are you upgrading from?

I want to try different brands and sounds and I can get them from elsewhere.

edit: saw in your signature. is 30% duty applicable to headphones as well?

I was happy with my hd598 for two years without worrying much but i'm active in head-fi for just 3 months and now well, you know from my signature what happened. So cutoms are just a part of the blame.

Great and congrats. I'm expecting some impression between hd800 and sr-007. Also it seems they've listed again but this time, lowest you can get is around 72k which is what i paid. so the deal you got was awesome.
