They did ask me what was to be sent. I showed them the RMA letter from MP4Nation before I showed them the package. All I said was it was my "broken mobile headset to be returned for warranty". I had kept the package open in case they wanted to see it. No further questions (I had to fill in a declaration form though). Rs ~620 for regular post and ~Rs. 820 for speed post(5 days delivery).

My advice: go to another branch. Try saying what said, keep the parcel open. I believe they have a major problem if it has a battery or is powered in some way. If they protest, tell them it doesn't come under electronic goods (worth a shot). If it doesn't work, rinse and repeat at another branch.

lol this sounds okay, though kinda unreliable. But I'll take a shot. I'm just trying to figure out which lie should I tell them.

btw does this mean that everything that's electronics can't be sent outside India?? Not even by charging something extra in Customs?

I mean there is no problem at all for receiving the goods, but for sending it out you face such problems. I wish SingPost or China Post had any branch here...

Yeah, nobody's going to do anything even if they refuse to do any work all day. Typical govt babus.

Tomorrow I'll make another attempt at another post office and post here what happens.

But honestly, they refuse my mail citing reason that Customs dept would reject electronic items, which other courier services are happy to accept it any given time, and undergo same custom process.

I choose the expensive route of Fedex. I have returned HPs for warranty work to the US but I always put the RMA note in the box. I've had no problems thus far.

Fedex would skew shipping price to actual cost of headphones, in my case. Guys from Penon are helpful and guiding me in this process, thankfully.

your location says ncr. I would like to have a listen to X5 if you dont mind. I can bring akg k550 and audinst hud mini if you are interested. I know both these quiet well as I have been using for some time, so will be good basis of comparison.

Looking to buy it this weekend (hopefully), so maybe next weekend we could meet up. Say, why don't we ask others to join us as well?

Folks, anybody in for a micro-mini-meet?

Hi Abhinav,

As far as I know, you can only use the amp section of the E17 when you use Line out cable from the iPod (iPod DAC + LO + E17 Amp). This is how I used my iPod Classic with E07k, and earlier with the PA2V2, which you own right now.

With any recent Android smartphone, however, you can use the E17 DAC & amp using the USB Audio player pro app, and if you have Android 5.0 & above, you get native USB audio on the phone, to use an external DAC using USB OTG cable.
