Wow, that is a lot of money, but then, at headfi, we are used to spending ridiculous amounts simply because we like to say goodbye to Dollar!

Correct. That's around Shure SE530 territory price wise. What I don't understand is what Monster is trying to do here. I mean, the Turbine Pro isn't even widely available yet, and now these? I had the Pros in my head, but now I'm intrigued by these as well. I wonder just how much of a difference sound wise between the "Miles" and the Turbine Pros.

well, the housing shape is different - one factor which can contribute to audible difference. That said, even a few dbl here or there increase or decrease from a prior signature does not mean a human will hear those differences. who knows. as always, I look forward to more information.

if you are a student, looks like there may be half price discounts on the new miles davis turbine. details will follow.

Yes, I as well shigzeo. Nice link! I wish I was a student right about now.

Me too!

Hey, shigzeo, my wife is a Teacher, maybe they'll have a discount for them as well. If so, I might seriously consider these! Let me know if you get anymore info regarding that discount. Thanks!

Did anyone notice that the Turbine Pro's connector has 4 pins?

Just checked out the monster website for reviews and saw a comment from Joe Perry of Aerosmith:

"I am not a big fan of ear buds. But I thought I would give the Turbine Pro ear buds a try because they are from Monster. When I was mixing my new solo record I found these were the best reference "speakers" that I had to use. And believe me I have a lot of high end reference speakers to use! I knew if the mix sounded good on these ear buds the mix would sound good anywhere. I don't go anywhere with out them.”

I wonder what other iems he has tried out.
