I hate this type of stereotyping, not every product made by a company is good or bad, the Monster Turbines headphones were a decent IEM just as other highly favoured companies such as Sennheiser have made poor headphones amongst their good ones. Base your comments on a product off of your experience with it versus your attitude towards the manufacturer.

I don't think the Turbine Pro will be a disappointment, i agree that they do seem a bit overpriced considering the turbine is around $99 now, and these are at $250 and the only thing they changed is the driver. But i'm sure these phones won't disappoint

I agree, and I suspect various vendors' sales and discounts will bring the price down to a more reasonable level soon enough (provided these ever see actual release)...

when are these getting released anyways??? No press or any news from Monster about them....

yeah, i wondered about that too. to tell you the truth, when i got the turbine, i was not expecting anything good. i've never hated monster, but i've stayed away even though where i come from, monster is not a huge name.

the turbine simply blew my socks off. i had no idea that it would be so well packaged, well-made (cable excepted), and sound as good as it does. to that effect, i look forward to hearing opinions of people who are not possessed of notions of monster's inferiority.

if they aren't worth it, i expect to hear the same. but if they keep the same manufacturing quality but better the cable and can boost the sound, the monster turbine pro stand to be a great buy as an entire package.

Yes, I like my Monsters alot but for $250 and the name Pro, the cable and straight plug got to go away.
i know the cable will be different, but as to how much different and how much monster have listened to consumer's and reviewer's complaints, i have no idea.

Available for pre-order at Earphone Solutions now in both Gold and Copper color along with a iPhone Mic version.

They also have two new lower end models listed, Jamz and Center Stage.

I have the Turbines and will most likely be upgrading to the Pros. Here's a pretty good review on them from slashgear...

Can't wait for some reliable user reviews, myself.

I'm very interested in the Turbine Pros, especially if I manage to find them discounted somewhere.

if we at headfi start saying that phone isn't worth anything because of a driver upgrade, we have no reason to be here. consider all the news that westone made with triple driver and triple crossover. then, the jerry harvey stuff. had neither been so technologically sophisticated, the threads would likely be much shorter.

drivers matter as much, if not more than anything else here - especially here. monster should also be changing the cable too.

Please post your impressions when you have them! Have you heard/owned the original Turbines at all?
