Oh Gosod, the man of 663 questions (at the moment of writing this reply)
Different Whiplash cables have different colors, wire shielding, wooden chocker, etc. Plus, you can clearly see if it's 4 braided conductors vs 8 braided conductors. I have tested and still have in my review collection many different cables from various manufactures, and have seen other stuff from $25 to $1k, and it's very rare for a manufacturer to put a model name or the wire material on the headphone plug, they just brand it with a company name.
i just want to share my experience i had with Craig, bought 8 conductor TWcu v3 cable from one of the member here on the forum, was told that it is like NEW, received the cable try it out, find out that the r/h is not working, no sound came out, went on whiplash website, contact Craig, 1 day late received email telling me to filled out the RMA form and send it in with the cable for repair, 2.5 weeks went by, received email from Craig saying he can't located my cable and asking for my info, send back my info to Craig, 3 days later get notification from USPS that my cable is sending back to me, 2 days later got in the in mail, cable work like NEW, also Craig was kind enough to replaced both connectors and send back USPS priority mail at NO CHARGE, total time send in and received is just over 3 weeks, with his busy schedule, i think that is very fast, again THANKS Craig for everything.
