Amp Issue Involving -=Germania=- - Page 7

It appears to me that Germania was temporarily suffering from Ostrich syndrome. Hiding from problems instead of addressing them. I've found that some people have extreme difficulty communicating negative information. If they can't give good news they clam-up. When what most people want is truthful updates.

I also think that since she was given money for the parts up front but then ran into problems that needed additional parts that she had to find the money for could have lead to additional delays. Understandable, if communications were kept up. Still she is making significant amends, she's absorbed the extra parts cost and is waving all labor charges. She is in effect loosing a significant amount of money on the transaction.

She's young and hopefully has learned that communications is key. I still believe that she is an outstanding addition to our little community.

But,..... don't let it happen again

While you certainly have reasons for being busy you have no excuse for the lack of communication. Remember, you asked to be a MOT and as such will be held to a higher standard regardless of whether or not you choose to qualify this deal as a part of that business. Not that I'd excuse this behavior from a regular member either.

I'd also be in your best interest to resolve the payment issue with the other member, it currently appears as if you are abusing someone's generosity.
Bingo!

Ok, I am deleting my subscription because I think Stacy has been embarrassed enough and we should continue even after things have been resolved? No. If some of you wish to continue on then fire up the Mikhail threads, they have been dormant and he should be put jail.

She has now taken the steps to resolve the amp matter. Good for her and all involved, but nothing has been resolved just yet, since Biggie is yet to receive the amp and Laz needs to be paid for the phono cartridge.

She implied that the last month or so was very hectic, but I still cannot condone the lack of communication which possibly could have prevented the Op's initial post and the subsequent posts. Hopefully she has learned that communication is of the utmost in both preventing and resolving problems.

Kudos to her for taking steps to fix things; at least now something is getting done.

I recommend that this thread be closed and =G= and the OP, and the other member who is waiting on payment resolve it over PM's and the rest of us leave it at that and not lead this thread onto some other topic which might well end up hurting someones feelings unnecessarily.

To the OP, if you are convinced, I suggest you PM a mod to close the thread.

I agree completely. This is about to become ugly. The thread can always be unlocked if the OP or Laz has anything further to add.

I think the op should request that the thread remain open until things get resolved since it's the only thing that got her attention enough to respond. This thread has nothing to do with hurting anyone's feelings. I think the community is being very fair to both her and the op in this thread, which is only right since both have built up good reputations in their time here. At the same time, more than one person on head-fi with a great reputation has gotten involved in dramas and unplanned scams because despite great intentions, they got caught up in life's messes, and then screwed someone over, even if they planned on making good. I think we all believe -=Germania-= will handle things well from here on out, since she seems to be that kind of person, but since no one expected her to handle things as poorly as she has so far, I don't think there's harm in keeping the thread open. I also don't think she or the op deserves any out-of-line bashing, which hasn't been done here to the credit of all.

EDIT: though, by all means, if the op wants the thread closed, it should be his call.

Yeah, that's a huge problem at my company. We have some customer service reps who are genuinely professional until they have to deliver bad news, at which point they almost always try to pawn the problem off to a supervisor. I always tell them "Never ask a person if they want to speak to a supervisor; you only transfer to a supervisor when the customer asks you to do so. Otherwise you aren't doing your job." Unfortunately, these people don't change; my opinion is that they usually have some underlying self-esteem issues.

PLEASE NOTE--I am not saying this applies to Germania. Just venting about people in my office!

You're not reading the good threads man. Do a search for "Singlepower", "Larocco Diablo", "trose49", "oicdn", "Jena R10", etc.

Trainwrecks are fun to watch from time to time, though it obviously sucks for the involved parties. In this case, I have a feeling everything will end well.
