Agree. Plus if your going to take someones money up front you need to do what it takes to follow through and finish the project. No excuses. None. Period.

You also have to be able to make a functional product to begin with

A thought: If she's overwhelmed, maybe the build can be continued by someone else, with Germania sending what's been done up to now to them?

I guess the next question would be what is the amp being built?

agree that the student excuse is lame...Taking somone money on the premise of building something for them and not delivering is just not cool. Hope you have written about it in the feedback thread and hope you get your money back since it seems she can't deliver a working product.

Six months is a long long time to wait..of course what amp is she building for you?

Biggie, you're a patient man.

I posted about 2 weeks ago in her feedback thread. Nothing came out of it though, so I decided to make this thread. She was nothing but pleasant to deal with, so I'm hoping for a happy ending.

Biggie.

Hope everything get resolved very soon, fingers crossed.

I sure hope you get your amp soon, and that it meets all your expectations. Good luck.

I've done business with her, and this doesn't make sense. Hope it gets resolved...soon.

Well, she's been here today and has visited this forum since she posted in another 'Members' Lounge' thread. I can't assume she saw this particular thread but she's obviously not all that overwhelmed that she cannot send a short pm to Biggie.

She's supposedly a "member of the trade," so she should act like one and take responsibilty in this matter. Ignoring this will not make it disappear.

yea...this thread has been up for awhile and she's been very silent on the subject...not even responding in the feedback thread.

6 Months? That's very very patient. I don't know why everyone's so surprised though, custom amps seem to take forever.

I'd be more concerned by the bit about it working then not working and needing a new board.. new components maybe, they can fail after all, but a new board?

Holding someone's funds while building your own stuff first.. hmm.

Hold on this is a custom amp right?, not just a build from a set parts list. If its a simple build from a parts list, 6 months rather excessive.

Surprised by this thread, Hopefully everything will work out in the end. Like others have said it only takes two minutes to send a PM explaining the situation.

I have always enjoyed reading her thoughts on equipment since she seems to know her stuff. I am very surprised also and hope this is just a misunderstanding.
