So I just got Triple.Fi's...

...are they worth keeping? They're still in their packaging, not opened. Should I keep it and get some Westone cables for it? Or should I sell them and get a set of UM3X's instead?

Thanks, Brendan

dude the least you should do is try them!! you cant just sell them because somebody has told you the westone's are better, thats better for them not you. try them and appreciate them, give them at least a good amount of time of listening because your brain will adjust to the sound, try a variety of music and if they really are not for you then sell them in the as new condition.

you wont lose too much money and its worth at least trying them because they could be the best thing you have ever heard!!!

Some will say keep 'em, some will say dump 'em. From the nature of your question I would advise you to return them. I'm keeping mine forever.

no you should definitely buy things then never listen to them.

really, just what was the point?

I have always been interested on the triple fi's. If I had a chance to listen to them I most certainly would. The more IEM's you listen to, the better you will be able to appreciate what kind of sound signature really pleases your ear.

If you don't like them, you won't have a problem selling them on here. You won't lose much money in the process.

Why on earth did you buy them????

I didn't buy them...I just said I 'got' them.

You can try to read up about different reviews. As a lot of people will tell you here, you won't really go wrong with the top tier IEMs, but people still have different preferences so it depends on what you personally prefer. What sound signature do you like? What music do you listen to? etc etc

So read up and maybe then you can decide. I don't really know much about the Triple.Fi's but a lot of people hold them in high regard. Read and research and you will most probably find helpful information.

triple.fi seems to be the least favorite out of the top tier IEM's

That's what I gathered as well...hence the reason for this thread.

They have a weird sound signature. I am thinking of getting mine turned into customs.

They make more sense to my ears than my current Westone 3, even if they did have a rough, unrefined sound and slightly recessed mids.

It seems Triples have always been a bit controversial, and certainly here for some time...

but, dang, I love belonging to an aural minority community!
