This DAC is being sold because I just got an excellent deal on a PS Audio Digital Link III.
The DAC Straight is a PCM2702 based USB dac. Outputs are 2 RCA and 1 3.5mm jack. It doesn't have a buffered output and it doesn't have any protection on the DAC itself: it needs to be used with an amplifier. If used with a piece of gear with less than 5,000 ohms of input resistance the dac will break.
This was a nice step up over the HotUSB1 I was using. More detailed, more dynamic, and it's been silent with everything I've used with it so far. Probably a few hundred hours on it.
