i actually found the WA6SE to have really good synergy with the SR325i's as well just not with the RS1i's. strange because i thought the 325i's were suppose to be the "brighter" phone, but it doesn't sound bright or harsh at all driven by the 6SE, it actually sounds pretty smooth. while the RS1i's sound very bright and forward when driven by the 6SE.

still waiting on the MAD...it arrived in NY on the 10th. so it's either sitting in customs right now or on its way here. i wish it could get here already.

Hi SemiAudiophile, I love the MAD, a nice looking amp either. Please write something between the WA6SE and the MAD after received. Thanks.

That's strange... I've found the WA6 SE-M to mate well with all my phones (both low and high impedance), including the RS-1s - not at all excessively bright. But... then my RS-1s are pretty well burnt in and have the tape mod on the bowls, which helps. And... my WA6 SE-M is beginning to accumulate a few more hours, which smooths the sound a lot.

But... even so, I'm very surprised you find them brighter than the 325is. None of my phones are as bright as the 325s I had.

yeah, that's what i don't get. well, my 325i's are very well burnt in having them for almost 2 years. where as my RS1i's only had them for about maybe 4 months with about 150+ hours on them.
