FS: 4x OPA627

Everything is sold except the OPAs, will sell the OPAs for 50 Euro + shipping. The OPAs are used but not soldered, as shown in the picture.

I got here a defective OPA627 Modded Forte F-50a Balanced DAC wich I bought from FallenAngel.
It doesn't work anymore, so I brought it to the electronic store and they told me one of the transformers died and a couple of ICs burned out.
The problem with the ICs is that they scratched off the serial numbers, so I don't know what ICs they used, so I can't replace them.
Also, I don't have any scematics or was able to find some.

It worked at 110V, I can provide a 220->110 step down converter.
It is modded with 4 OPA627's, wich are used but not soldered.

Unit powers up but does not lock so transformer is likely still good. Not sure what is wrong with it, likely the receiver or DAC ship. Unfortunatley, after many emails with the designers and companies, there is minimal help/support for it.

Something to note is that the DAC is a fantastic bargain when it worked and balanced!

I was told one of the transformers was damaged and they removed it as you can see in the picture. I still have the transformer, so I can include it.

Well the chip close to the DAC is likely some sort of controller/processor to handle the DAC. The one on the far left that is scratched out seems to also be some sort of controller chip for I/O of teh other chips.

If those are using embeded memory that is programmed, you would need the program and a programming setup. More likely is to just get replacements from the company
Controller chips don't usually die because they are receiving buffered streams. That might not be the culprit.

Check the caps as well. A blown transformer can mean blown caps.

Best of Luck!

Caps aren't swollen and look good. I'd replace transformer and try it out; when chips burn, they usually "burn" - smoke and all.
