your favorite robert plant vocal bits?

This man is really a legend IMO. I used to dislike the apparent thinness and high-pitched singing, but I guess the former is because of the lack of good source and equipment back in the day.
I really appreciate him and his attitude even after Zeppelin disbanded.

Vocal bits that I like:

- Well, I guess we all like Since I've Been Loving You.. especially the "drag drag drag" and the screamos.

- Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, amazing song from the 1st album. Kinda tell the world what he's all about, just like Bonzo's kick drums in Good Times, Bad Times.

- Kashmir for sheer class and maturity... still gives me chills when the "ooh" part in the middle of the song begins, and of course the "where I've beeeeennnnn" in the following bars. The O2 arena concert performance is amazing.

- Gallows Pole's verses is just nice.

- The Battle of Evermore's final bits.

- When the Leevee Breaks- the part when he sings "Dont it make you feel bad..." onwards. I really love it, I don't know why. Just powerful and driving.

There are some others but those are the tops. IMO the BBC sessions CD have some of the most enjoyable Plant bits, at least compared to The Song Remains the Same or How the West Was Won. I haven't heard many bootlegs. But the You Shook Me and The Girl I Love (She Got Long Black Wavy Hair) from that CD is just full of energy.

Maybe you can tell that while I like his high pitched screams, I prefer the lower but more powerful, weighty wails that he did. All in all, I admired this guy a lot.

I really like Plant's vocals on his collaboration with Allison Krauss on the Raising Sand album. Also his bit with Afro Celt Sound System. His voice has really stood the test of time.

I met Robert Plant in person in a small night club where he jammed with The Black Crowes in an impromptu performance after their Manic Nirvana show on a Sunday night. It was very weird to be at the concert and then a couple of hours later in a club when he walked in. It's too bad I was severely stoned when I shook his hand and exchanged a few words but he truly does come across as a Rock God.
