Very few DAPs take AA or AAA batteries, and pretty much all of them are low-end.
Eventually rockbox may be available for sansa c100 and m200, and then they will probably play flac, but probably not all that well.

Check out some of the Iriver players. I think my T30 plays Flac. I know it plays ogg & runs off AAA. Not in production any longer I think, but there are probly some of them running around.
Nope - just checked & I think it doesn't play flac -- just ogg & the other usual codecs.....
