Finally leaving after this year (joined here when I was a freshman), and I'm incredibly thankful I got into this hobby. The experiences I've had in reviewing have been invaluable and I can't imagine what I'd do without them. I'm rather sure I wouldn't get accepted into the college I'm attending if I didn't get to "brag" about talking to people like Tim Hickman.

And above. Pics in the morning.

GAH. New page.

He seems to me like some enlightened audio person who's gotten bored of Summit-Fi and has returned to guide us newbies :\

In all seriousness, good for you Spriggs! You get to listen to great year while your hearing is still good!

speaking of hearing condition i can't imagine how many high school kids ruin their hearing so much with their ibuds blasting as loud as a portable speaker in their earseek.gif (no wonder some of them can't hear anything else in their music other than bass)

i just feel fortunate i have nice pairs of headphones and a shop which i can visit time to timetongue.gif

Indeed. I expect lots of reviews of all that gear, and lots and lots of pictures, Spriggs. After all, you're in the ultimate position to give us head-to-head comparisons that so many people would like to see. I see you did the SR80i. Good start, but we crave more. And I'm sure we'll have it. I'm sure I'll see you posting all over the place in recommendation threads, in impression threads, and the like. Your knowledge and experience with all this high end gear will be a true asset to the forum. And, being a contributor to this forum is almost as rewarding as enjoying music on nice equipment. smile.gif

And a group portrait of the whole collection? We'd love to see that! dt880smile.png

Wish I knew about better quality audio back in HS...went through $$ that was thrown away on cheap earbuds, over the ears headphones, over and over and over. All that money combined could've probably bought me a nice $300 dollar headphone/IEM. The only thing that makes me feel better is that I used to own and use a Sony Minidisk player everyday for almost all of HS, I loved it so much, so I had the inner audiophile in me!

Hey same here, I used to carry my CD player with me everywhere and all my cash was thrown in to parts for my car. I'm on the same boat as wishing I knew about quality audio gear confused_face.gif

Yeah, it gets rather annoying with some of my friends, trying to convince them that they're murdering their ears by listening at such high levels...
Should we talk about anything high school related, like tests or girls?

lol like the desire to pop on the headphones during a long and boring test?tongue.gif
and when girls they try my headphones they wear it on top of their hair, i seriously think that is going to affect the sound quality....
