Holy **** were you born in 1999? I should stay away from this thread...

Read some of these when you have the chance

Isn't this the "who here is a high school audiophile" thread? I, too, was born in '99, so if you're staying away from us since we come off as moronic peasants to you, then by all means, do so. As you said, you've already outgrown this thread anyways.

Those were some interesting reads, although to be honest, I don't see why you'd post said articles if you're subtly -- no, blatantly -- telling us that we should rethink our choices in life.

No, it's advice for choosing a career... I didn't post it to make fun of you? Not sure how you got that impression. I'm just surprised at the ages of kids, since you know, I don't meet many your ages? You guys need to calm yourself down lol. Welp have fun with the rest of your life then.

i hope that after you read your posts again here you will understand how we got the impression that you're making fun of us, why us? because we in about the same age...

and you even said it yourself now by saying "you guys need to calm yourself downso you made it even clearer :)

i really don't care if you didn't meant to say it this way, right now what that i see from your way of talking is that your making fun of us...

so next time please wright your posts more carefully.

Well, I feel like I stepped into the wrong thread. I guess I'll post my info anyway.

Age: 15

Grade: 12th

And my equipment is in my sig. I understand that we're all in the same age range, but let's all try to keep our hormonal outbursts in check, kay? This is a happy place.

I'm looking into the technology field, am a junior, and my freshman year got a 5 on the AP computer science test and my sophomore year I got first place for both team and individual at statefor UIL computer science. (high school contest) A family friend used to be the head of nuclear physics at the Pentagon and is a dean or something similar at UT Austin now, (the college I've been striving for) and wants to take me on a tour. I'm stuck between these three majors to focus the tour on:
1. Computer science in the College of Natural Science

2. Computer engineering, in the Department of Electrical Engineering

3. Software Engineering, in the Department of Electrical Engineering
Which should I choose? I'm obviously good at programming and love it, but beyond that I'm stuck. I did some security and got my security+ certification this summer, but it's not my cup of tea, but I'll look into it more just because I'd want to program secure programs not insecure junk. I've never messed with hardware engineering or any languages other than Java (my favorite), scala (needs more documentation), or python. I've done basic web design but it bores me. I also just got my eagle scout lol.

Just discovered this thread. I'm a 17-year-old junior in high school, and I got into audio near the end of last year. Equipment is in my sig—I'm glad I'm not the only one!

So 2 days ago i had a chance to listen to some Hi-End speakers systems:D

The wierd thing is that 50% of the speakers had highs that made my ears hurt, and i wonder... anyone here have the same problem?

Oh and think I found my dream system, 12$K speakers, and you can see that there is subwoofer behind... I got this hobby wayyyyy too early:(

Sadly, I had to box up my first and second headphones (SRH440 and SE215) today; both are broken, but I'll be getting Guitar Center store credit for them, and maybe moving up to something like the SE425 with it. The SRH440s are from way back in 9th grade, crazy to think it's already been almost two years.

Nice! I'm graduating this May and have also been accepted into a couple of universities (abroad) for the same major (Electrical Engineering).
