Uhm.... there is much contradictory information here. So it does play Flac on the external card

I thought that I had answered this question or am I going crazy!!!!!!!!!
@ulsanman it does but it is extremely picky about how many files and stuff on the card. (read posts above)

But these spec's don't list FLAC, so who knows how reliable they are. And when I first looked at the spec's I don't remember seeing the 8G limit, but maybe I missed it. Also the Whiplash version is 4GB vs. 2GB. Also says SD slot, not microSD slot. So seems there are discrepancies. I second someone posting the real specs for this thing.

I really hope there are firmware updates on this from time to time, sounds like it really has promise but the memory card and format limitations could be a big hindrance for me. I guess I will know when mine arrives.

And are there folder issues with the main memory, or is it just the add-on cards? And do the folder issues only occur with FLAC, or all file formats?

Also, will it play randomly from the internal and external memory?

I'm working on modifying the manual now!!

Shipments start MONDAY!!!
yes the card is integrated into the library thus it plays from both randomly
post #173 of 2088
Only problems with flac!!!!!!!!
AAH ^^ it says maximum capacity 8gb but it got removed from te website... Im guessing flac and no limit will be in the golden hall edition?

Craig-
Do you have a fair number of remaining units? I may order one early in the week.
I got mine!

I use Transend MicroSDHC 8GB and Panasonic MicroSD 2GB. Both works well.
Surely this sounding very nice. Detailed, crisp and lively as others stated so. Well comparable to entry external amps. But static/hiss is very evident. This is a shame.

I also updated my headfi-blog with some more pictures and further comments.

In part based on the earbuds match. Also the sensitivity of your headphones vs the earbuds. Which headphones are you using?? Try using the earbuds as a test.
