FS: Mint Condition Audio-Technica L3000

For sale is a mint condition Audio-Technica L3000. They are in the same condition I bought them in, when they were sold as “Perfect Condition”. And indeed they are nearly perfect. There are only a few microscopic marks on the silver rings that cannot be seen without heavily examining them. The leather cups, perfect. The leather headband, perfect. The pads, ok condition but not perfect, however I am including a brand new pair of replacement pads with this package.

I am selling because I simply cannot afford to have this expensive of a headphone, plus an expensive speaker system, plus an expensive headphone amp. I knew that when I tried them, but I'm glad I still pulled the trigger. I’m thinking I’ll grab the WA5, some high-efficiency speakers (thinking the Omega line), and some cheaper cans.

Anyways, These will come with the following:

-The outer cardboard box.
-The headphone box
- Audio-Technica headphone bag
- Headphone cord bag
- Manual/Warranty documents
-BRAND NEW, unused earpads

Camera is charging and pics will be up in the next few hours.

I will have everything double boxed and shipped via Fedex Air. I would like what I paid for them, $3500. I prefer paypal and will absorb the fees if 3% or less. If higher, we split them(I don't think they are ever higher than that, but I'm not sure).

Just an FYI, the seller I bought them from originally had two pairs, these were two or three hundred bucks more expensive because they were in near perfect condition and because they included a pair of unused pads(which I have still not used).

1) On top of the warranty and care letter are the pair of brand new, unopened pads(Cost $80).
2) Last pic, that is a reflection on the left silver part of the earcup. There is no such mark in real life.
3) Let me know if you want more pics.

Thanks,
Richard

Omg why so soon! I have no cash until July! The second pair for sale this month, other was very worn on the cable for 2400.
If I had a car I would sell it for these but atm I just got laidoff and bought ESW10 and HF-2 so mannn. I hope I end up lucky in this area?

FYI, the cable fraying will happen to most of the L3000s. You should not hold the worn cable against purchasing this can when you have the money. Good lucks with your job search.

No, it doesn't. It happens to L3000's with careless owners.

The L3000 comes with a black cloth pouch to store the cable with. The pouch has a velcro closure, which will cause friction with the cloth-covered cable and result in the cable fraying.

Solution? Don't use the black pouch with velcro closure.

The softer black pouch that is included with the W5000 has a drawstring closure. It is a better solution for the L3000's stock cable.

I just used the larger headphone pouch when not in use. I also find it much better.

Anyways. Thanks, for all the interest. Update:

PENDING!!

Wow, that went fast, didn't expect that.
My L3000 was in similar condition when I bought it, I think that the original owner used it for only a few times, and then had it boxed up until I bought it, because it looked nearly new.
I didn't pay quite as much as for this one, but congrats on selling it.

No Doug - be stupid. I want to hear this at the meet

They just keep going up and up. Nearly double what I paid for my pair 4-5 years ago and a fair bit more than I sold them for 6 months ago. They'll soon reach R10 territory if the trend continues.

I don't think he was stupid, but yes you may possibly here them at the meet now.

We reached a trade + cash agreement. He actually had one of the "cheaper cans" that I was looking at getting. Worked out great!

SOLD.
