On average about 50% bigger. But it varies a lot depending on compressibility (audio data complexity).

I have iTunes on a PC. The only difference I can tell between iTunes on my PC and the same tunes on my iPod is the soundcard on my PC, which has a slight hum I can hear with my phones. On the other hand, at least the iTunes on my PC lets me set the equalizer settings manually, which I've found to be more helpful than those stupid presets.
