I am sorry but this is the RWAK120-S you are talking about...Vinny also has a RWAK120 that is just like the RWAK100, corrected impedance and cleaner path or whatever (I am not really familiar with technical aspects smily_headphones1.gif ).

hello everyone, i got my JH13 2 days ago and very happy with my purchase. Considering myself jumping from Klipsch x11i and HD650, i now think JH13 sounds better than them all. I'm driving it straight out my iphone 4, i have tried to pair it with my fiio e17 and JDS C5 but not quite happy compared to Iphone 4. Everything is fine except the problem with the faceplate's color for which i put blacklight color, somehow doesn't light up in the dark or anything, it looks like regular color but a bit pale. I have tried to contact JH Audio but still no response. Or is it just me that i don't know how this blacklight color works? hope anyone can help.

I've found that JH Audio is a company that you want to call and not email. I have no idea about the back light however.

On another note I got my JH13 back today from the 2nd refit. It seems to be good now. Also JH13 + ZX1 = very good :D

Thanks again. Yeh, I'm beginning to think that the mod may be unnecessary for the AK120 as well. If there was a similarly significant difference between AK120 and RWAK120 as seen between AK100 and RWAK100, then I would go for it. But unfortunately, it seems that the difference is very minor at most.

Jerry Harvey uses stock AK120? Well that pretty much settles it: if its good enough for JH...

I think the more reasonable upgrade would be the AK120-S mod, due to true line out and TWO better DACs.

Doesn't mean it's the absolute best sounding but the UI , size, storage solution and performance as an entire package suits his sensibilities. Different DAPs will be better choices for other folks. It's just when those folks slam AK because they happen to prefer a different formula that things get off track. Viva la difference.

The housing is coated in UV-reactive phosphors, for it to glow you require a source of ultra violet light.  Black light is not glow in the dark and won't function with regular incandescent or fluorescent bulbs.

Yeh, I agree that it doesn't mean that the AK120 pairing gives the best sound quality. Additionally, we don't all hear the same as Jerry Harvey.

Unfortunately.

Just want to stop by and drop a note that the JH13FP demo I heard for a bit are extremely impressive. Easily among the best IEMs I've heard, even with the not so unreasonable niggles I have with the sound.

But even moreso:
JH should just drop the JH13FP Universal onto the market already. The demo was among the most comfortable IEMs I've ever worn. Not just for a custom demo, but period. They could sell them just like that as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know how they looked in my ears but they were comfortable enough for me not to care.

Just looked at the Roxanne Universal, and it doesn't look the same as the JH13FP demo I tried... which looked more... pebble shaped?

So I don't know which way they would go. But I'm sure they've been working it out. Hopefully for the best. Then again, it's probably easier to fit JH13 drivers into a smaller pebble-like shell than the Roxanne which would probably need the huge (albeit cooler looking) faux-custom layout.

I forgot to come back and post my notes on this thread with the LCD XC and what not... Then I lost my notes. Then I kind of quit headfi.

Still got any questions? I think I can help you out a bit if you're still in research stage.

yes the base of the plug is preventing it from being inserted.
