Eleven years ago, they delivered a very expensive (for the student I was at the time) piece of audio equipment, but broken: the package had been pierced and crushed. They took it back, admitted they were at fault in a letter, and... that's it. I never saw the package again, nor did they reimburse anything, nor did they answer any more letters, even registered. I asked advice from a lawyer, but she said that they could afford to ignore me, while I couldn't afford to sue them (that's France for you). I wish I'd known about the BBB at the time.

I also had a problem with DHL: I paid their premium for documents to be delivered before a meeting, and they arrived too late, putting me in a very bad position.

USPS and FedEx: never any problem.

EMS: never tried.
Never liked UPS or DHL. DHL is expensive, slow and their customer service is horrible. UPS is also slow, expensive and customer service is terrible plus they like charging INCREDIBLE custom fees for clearing a package crossing the border

My Faves: EMS, Canadapost, Collisimo (all extremely well done)
Never had troubles with: USPS, FedEX and Purolator

the machine must cost a small fortune, but is certainly a quicker option than doing two separate and labour-intensive jobs as is done now.

Has anyone tried the JH13 on an airplane yet? Without music playing, I can pretty much hear everything going on, for example a conversation in the room or the tv. I'm thinking it may not be the best for airplanes since it doesn't block out outside noise and I'm afraid in a noisy airplane or subway situation it would cause one to turn up the volume to much. It seems my Ety ER4S would still be the best for travel. Or, should I even be able to hear outside noise so easily with the JH13s in my ear without any music playing? I mean is this normal?

Received mine for a week.

The right side is perfect but the left is a tad loose.

The left seal breaks too easily.

Anyway, finally got the time to take some pictures:

Some of you might recognize the logo I have for my pair

Awesome pics! I think clear in other colours (champaign, blue) look better than smoke, actually. BTW, anyone sent in for refits yet? Any idea what the turnaround time is?

i believe custom IEMs are suppose to provide a pretty decent isolation, so maybe you should check your seal because these things should isolate nicely. i know for a fact that using the klipsch image tips really isolate well as well as provide excellent comfort, so customs should provide something that is even better than that

Hmmm...I recently flew to Hawaii from L.A., 5+ hours with my JH13's in use the entire time. Certainly much better isolation than my old SE530's with plane use. I had a wing, window seat, and a screaming baby behind me. And it all did not matter at all. Thank goodness for JH Audio!

Yeah i sent mine in for refit the 17 of August. They still haven't received it yet as i sent it from Norway. I think this will take some time.

Nice pics indeed.
What is this color exactly, the electric blue?

You mean it looks blue?

It's actually very light translucent purple. Maybe 10 - 15% purple.

Well then maybe something is not right with mine. With music on I can't hear a thing on the outside, but like I said without music I can hear my wife hounding me, the tv ect... I may try a refit, but I will wait awhile as they are super busy at JH and these IEM's enhance the music so much it is hard to turn them loose.

They don't block out every little sound. If you've got a good seal and are pleased with both the sound quality and isolation when listening to music, that's about right.

i think a great foam actually blocks out more than an acrylic case. at least that has been my experience even with great fitting customs. by the way, my jh13pro came... and without the carbon box!

When people say they can't hear anything while wearing customs without music, please ask them how old they are
It's normal that you still hear quite a lot of things. They isolate as good as a good fitting universal iem, maybe a little more or less.

the er4s remains to this day the most isolating of all iems i have used, custom or not. comfort? not at all, but isolating - definitely.
