the crossovers in jaben's sets have not been burned in... I still can hear distortions and small soundstaging using the series all from jh11 to jh5. so i believed that the true wow feeling haven come in. try asking jaben to burn them in for a clearer and true comparison.

John if we already have the p-51 is it worth the upgrade or no?

There is always the introductory price from Ray. I doubt you'll lose more than 10$ if you don't like it

Yeah, it's a very good question.

I thought that I would have my Mustang for the rest of my life.

But if the Shadow is slightly better with the JH13s...
I will end up buying a shadow and gifting away my mustang to someone....

If you're going to be gifting, then I can play the role of "takin".

Insanely I tried them with the, Bottlehead SEX amp, the new Bottlehead battery powered amp, HeadAmp GS1, pico slim, pico amp/dac and GLite, Eddie Current BA and ZDT, DNA and Luxman 200. Best in class was the Balancing Act followed by the ZDT with the GS1 running neck and neck with the ZDT but behind the BA. All three of these amps had the JH13s running at between 2-4 on the amp dial.

Thanks, jp.
Wow, the BA for the JH13? That's really a good idea

or I am completely insane! BA had better overall sound and at the volume you would listen at no hum at at notches above normal listening volume ( and enough to take your head clean off your body) there is low frequency hum (slight).

GS1 though could be set up with low setting with a gain of 1 which would get the volume pot in the 12 o'clock range and then the high setting with a gain of 6 or 7 for most other phones. Dead quiet in low gain setting until 2-3 oclock on the dial and again just a slight hum and that volume would deafen you instantly should you hit play.

Moral of the story is these are great headphones and the phrase "good for an IEM" for me has been discarded when discussing the JH13s. To me they stand toe to toe with each and every top tier dynamic headphone past and present.

Isn't that WAY overpriced at jaben?

Well, my wallet definitely will say that's insane

Did you try the JH13 with BA in SE or balanced?

Not when you count in GST, ear moulding, and shipment.

Remember GST is a whopping 7%.

Plus if you buy the JH13 usually if you pair it up with something expensive (like crystal cables), it'll become MUCH cheaper. HAHA

=D

JH13 is really up there man. I keep thanking Uncle Wilson for convincing me to take the plunge.
