Wake up, everyone! A conspiracy! It's a c--bip bip bip bip bip
I will have the final ones next week, with new shells made from a scan of my UE11pro, and then I will feel confident in completing my review with a good fit.

Just so that there is no misunderstanding, the greater impact comment I made, refers to the lowest parts of the bass spectrum. Impact on most music without synthesized uber-low bass is fairly even between the two, with the L3000 ahead on tracks with the right mix of frequencies.

I got scared of the comment somewhere where someone said Jerry told them that the jh5pro was to be in direct competition with the ue5pro since the UE is a bass oriented model. Well i'll go for the 13 if I had an unlimited budget but unfortunately thats not the case
now i am very excited to demo ue5pro.

jh10pro and jh10x3pro seems interesting also. HPA?

Which is probably when ninja will come knocking at my door to confiscate my computer.

(But, honestly: thank you for the preview. I learned from it that it was worth being a little more patient, however bad at it I may prove.)

They don't have libraries or internet cafes there?

Sssh! Don't remind 'em ninja!

Another good reason to wait, now that the $100-off period is over anyway, is that the quality of the JH13 seems to be increasing (the artwork and general finish).

I'm still torn between the JH5, ES3X and JH13. One post pulls me in one direction, then another post in another, then... Do you think they let you bring IEMs in mental hospitals?

I doubt it. I have two pairs of custom IEMs, and they don't age at all... but I do take good care of them. Basically, this just means I leave them in a pouch or case when I'm not using them.

No, you might find a way to hang yourself with the cable.

Has anyone compared Sennheiser Orpheus with JH-13?

Vicki, aside from the R10s and O2s, which are the other phones you're putting in this group?

John, when were you last in touch with Xin? what's going on with the reference these days (is it 'finalized', and is it available)?

Oh, LOL!!!

I think everything has its limit, you shouldn't expect so much.
But, have you tried the HE90 yet?

Not directly. They have two very different sound signatures, and would be complementary, but not redundant. The HE90, especially with the HEV90, in the Orpheus configuration has a warm, romantic sound that is not exactly what I'd call accurate, but is very listenable and enjoyable. The JH13 is more like a high-end studio monitor in a well-treated room, showing you a much more accurate picture of the recording, for better or worse.

I'm very surprised this comment. I would've thought very unlikely, based on the reviews so far, that the JH13 could match the L3000 for bass quantity under any circumstances.
