Great impressions! Apparently they sound great as expected. Can't wait for review

How is the soundstage and imaging of these by the way...

Can you compare the bass quality/quantity you're hearing compared to the IE8's? Thanks to the initial impressions here, I'm actually now starting to consider getting a pair of these. I can't believe I'm starting to think about this.. I need to drop another $1000+ on this hobby like I need a hole in the head!

I previously bought a Westone Pellican case for my Livewires a few months back, so if the JHA case isn't up to snuff then I'll just use the Westone case. But I prefer smaller "pocketable" cases and will likely just pick up another Westone stiff nylon clamshell case with zipper as well.

The Pelican 1010 is not a small case, not pocketable, unless you count cargo pockets. It's more than twice the size of the UE metal case.

hah Edwood thanks for clearing that up.. when you say twice the size.. you're talking about thickness or just overall size?

and btw the UE case is a popular case among you custom owners?

EDIT: ok it can flipping fit my iphone thats how big micro is!

Nice pix, music. Very blue.

Hmmm, those cases look good...

Thanks for the pics Music. I was going to order the 1010, and I still might. But the little clamshells I got from LiveWires and Westone still suit me well. For day-to-day, and especially airline travel, my Hippocase works well, though the earpiece compartment is a bit cramped for the Livewires right now.

Was listening to Blue Monday by New Order while taking and uploading the photos.

And yes, the Pelican cases are very good. BTW, for more portability/ 'pocketability' I find the Shure oval case -- the one that comes with the SE530's -- better than the Westone Clam shell case, which for customs I find far too small. But I still find the Pelican 1010 the best as I get the cleaning tool, cloth, and desiccant in and is IDEAL for travelling as the expensive customs are extremely well protected - much better than both the Westone & Shure zip cases.

Bass is a little less prominent (quantity wise) but has a lot more detail, depth, accuracy, and extension. I was thinking for a bit that my fit was a little off but it is great. My issue is my cable (the mini connector) is doing some weird stuff and has difficulty holding the signal. I am going to speak to Jerry about sending a new one and then rma mine back

Update: Jerry is going to send me a replacement for the old cable so all is well here. If I don't have to send the faulty cable back I may cut off the bad termination and balance it for my b22 but I am not sure what exactly Jerry wants me to do yet.

wow, today, i got to demo the universal ue11pro, sensaphonics 2xs and a few others. JH will be next?

To who was asking: the fact that an earphone starts its frequency response, say, at 10 Hz means that it will likely be less attenuated at 20 Hz where yu start hearing it. You get to hear vibration at 20 Hz.

Yeah that would make sense. Cannot wait to try out balanced jh-13's on my b22
