JH Audio JH-13 PRO appreciation thread - Page 393

Hey all.

I've been lurking for a while, and am excited to get in to the world of custom IEM's.

My background is that I've had pairs of E4c's, HF2's, ER4's, and SE530's. The majority of pairs that I've had have all had characteristics that I've enjoyed, but I haven't found one that is able to combine all characteristics to one ultimate pair.

I'm currently debating between the JH-13's, and the ACS T1's. Does anyone have any experience with both headphones?

Thanks,
Russ

I picked up a zipper case: Amazon.com: Speck Zipper-Puck Carrying Case for iPod shuffle 2G (Black): Electronics
Seems expensive to me compared with one I picked up for 8 dollars that has worked fine for a few years or the very nice case for my ESW10's that cost 25 dollars. But protection is worth while and better to have than not.

be careful - even cases like those can cause problems if you jostle the customs too much. ue, jh and some other manufacturers use hollow designs for incredible sound quality, but the design is very easy to chip. i have seen many, many refits, remoulds, and in general, fixes because of small drops, case jostling, etc. my jh13pro are in fine shape, but i would not want to push them too much.

Just got my "in the lab" notification So they are still operating with about a five business day window. Looks like I'll receive them sometime next week.

I can well understand your concern. I have the basic clear ones with not a speck of dust and nary a blemish. They look great and the innards even better!!!

Sound good too!

The otterbox gets a lot easier to open and close as you use it more.

I kind of feel bad for my ESW10s because I don't use them much anymore, and when I did yesterday, it just sounded so weird.

Unless you are an absolute basshead, I advise not to use Westone ES cable on JH13. Way too much bass you will experience..

Do you get an email when they receive your earmolds?

My registered post tracking says item was delivered on Monday but no word yet from JH Audio.

My impressions were also received on Monday but no update. I assume that you will not get an update unless you ask (calling is better than email).

I don't use the Otterbox too, I prefer the Ultimate Ears case and it cost $15.
